The Pololu 150:1 Metal Gearmotor 37Dx73L mm w/ 64 CPR Encoder & Helical Pinion is a high-performance brushed DC motor designed for robotics, automation, and precise motion control applications. Built with a durable 12V brushed DC motor and a 150:1 all-metal gearbox, this gearmotor delivers excellent torque, reliability, and long service life.
Equipped with a two-channel Hall effect quadrature encoder, the motor provides 64 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, which corresponds to 9600 counts per revolution of the gearbox output shaft. This ensures precise speed and position feedback, making it ideal for projects that require accurate closed-loop control.
The gearbox is primarily constructed of spur gears but integrates helical gears in the first stage, significantly reducing noise and improving efficiency compared to standard spur-only designs. The D-shaped output shaft measures 6 mm in diameter and 16 mm in length, making it easy to couple with wheels, pulleys, or custom mechanical systems.
