Description
The ROBOTIS DYNAMIXEL AX-18A Smart Servo Actuator is a high-performance, robot-exclusive actuator that integrates a DC motor, controller, driver, position sensor, reduction gear, and communication interface into one compact module. Designed for intelligent motion control, it offers precise positioning, high torque, and reliable communication for both educational and professional robotics applications.
Part of the DYNAMIXEL AX-series, the AX-18A is widely used in ROBOTIS STEM, Premium, and GP robot kits. Its compatibility with TTL daisy-chain communication allows multiple servos to be connected efficiently, making it ideal for humanoid, quadruped, and hexapod robots. The actuator can also operate as a wheel for mobile platforms, allowing versatile configurations that combine joint and wheel-type motions.
Using high-strength engineering plastic frames or custom 3D-printed brackets, users can design and assemble robots with durability and flexibility at a low cost.
