DESCRIPTION
The AS5048A Magnetic Rotary Encoder Board is a compact, high-resolution magnetic position sensor designed for accurate angle measurement in motion control applications. Based on the AS5048A magnetic encoder IC, it delivers 12–14-bit angular resolution with both PWM and SPI output interfaces for flexible integration into embedded systems.
Its contactless magnetic sensing technology eliminates mechanical wear, providing excellent reliability and long service life. The compact PCB (15 × 17 mm) operates from a 5V supply and is ideal for BLDC motors, servo motors, gimbal motors, robotic actuators, AGVs, CNC equipment, and industrial automation.
The encoder requires only a properly aligned permanent magnet positioned 0.5–3 mm above the sensor surface for accurate angle measurement.
