Overview

The SSR-20WA-R1 1KW single-phase motor soft starter module provides adjustable voltage ramp-up for compatible AC motor loads. It supports 220V, 230V, and 240V single-phase applications at 50Hz or 60Hz, with a soft start time adjustable from 0 to 30 seconds. The module is designed for applications such as ordinary fans, water pumps, belt conveyors, ball mills, and compressors.

Key Features

  • 1KW motor soft starter module for AC motor applications
  • Adjustable soft start time from 0 to 30 seconds
  • Starting voltage adjustable from 0 to 50% before ramping to the rated voltage
  • No bypass contactor required
  • Two control methods: automatic start when the main switch is closed, or start and stop control through the module switch
  • Suitable for 220V, 230V, and 240V motor systems at 50Hz or 60Hz

Operating Notes

  • Connect the load during operation or testing; testing without a load does not provide a valid result.
  • Do not set the soft start time to 0 seconds, as the starting voltage would be 0V and the starting current may be excessive.
  • For continuous operation above 2KW or where ambient temperature and heat dissipation conditions are unfavorable, additional heat sinking and forced-air cooling may be required. This 1KW model should also be installed with appropriate thermal management for the actual load and operating conditions.
  • Use a control switch according to the module wiring requirements. Do not apply voltage to the control switch or disconnect the incoming line power while using the switch to control starting and stopping.
  • Do not use a multimeter on the load side to assess product quality.
  • When required by the installation, use an appropriately rated fast-disconnect switch or fuse in series with the load circuit.
